In recent years, the development speed of China's plastic mold is quite fast. At present, plastic molds account for about 30% of the entire mold industry. With the rapid development of China's automobiles, home appliances, electronic communications, and various building materials, it is expected that in the future mold market, the proportion of plastic molds to the total molds will continue to increase gradually, and the development speed will be faster than other molds. Taking the automobile industry as an example, with the rapid growth of automobile production and sales, the potential market for automobile molds is huge.
According to Luo Baihui, secretary-general of the International Model Association, large-scale, precise and well-designed injection molds will be generally welcomed by the market. In the production of automobiles, various functional parts must be formed by molds. Only about 200 pieces of interior molds are needed to manufacture an ordinary car, and the large and medium-sized molds required to manufacture bumpers, instrument panels, fuel tanks, steering wheels, etc. Plastic moulds, from the perspective of the production capacity of the mold industry, the current satisfaction rate is only about 50%. In the field of construction, it is also the general trend that plastic building materials will replace traditional materials in large quantities. It is estimated that the penetration rate of plastic doors, windows and plastic pipes in the country will reach 40% to 50% in 2012, and the market share of plastic drainage pipes will exceed 50%, which will greatly increase the demand for molds quantity.
